In July 2006, The U.S. News & World Report ranked The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins the third best cancer center in the nation and the top cancer hospital in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

Also regarded as the world's leading medical center for the treatment and study of pancreatic cancer, the Kimmel Cancer Center includes basic science researchers, researchers focused on translating basic science discoveries to patient care and clinicians (surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, gastroenterologists and radiation oncologists). 

The center is pleased to be associated with The Skip Viragh Memorial Golf Classic and will honor Skip Viragh by using the resources raised to fund awareness, treatment and eradication of pancreatic cancer.
